About

Laura Lineback is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist, composer, lyricist, educator, performer, and designer with an MFA from Syracuse University. She uses humor, observation, and an evolving creative practice to question cultural norms and explore themes such as feminism, the body, mortality, and power.

Originally trained in painting, Laura’s work has expanded to include a wide range of forms, guided less by medium and more by concept. Her practice is project-based and often rooted in research, but always leaves space for instinct, improvisation, and play.

Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one.

The original phrase was meant as praise. For Laura, cross-disciplinary work isn’t a lack of focus but a layered practice. Each medium sharpens the others.
